This Privacy Notice describes how Pivot Companion ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use the Pivot Companion website and application (the "Service"). Pivot Companion is a product of Ozas-Pro Consulting Inc., which acts as the data controller of the personal data described below.
1. Categories of personal data we collect
- Account data: email address, password (hashed), display name, language and country preference.
- Profile and recovery data: job loss date, savings, monthly expenses, dependents, severance, mood check-ins, journal entries, tasks, applications, contacts, and Strength Map evidence you choose to provide.
- Subscription and billing data: plan tier, subscription status, billing currency, and the Paddle customer/subscription identifiers associated with your account. We do not store full payment card details.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, event logs, and aggregate analytics generated by your interactions with the Service.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical identifiers collected automatically.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the 90-day recovery features you request, including Recovery Intelligence priorities, Runway, Benefits, Strength Map, and Jobs Kanban.
- To authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
- To process subscription payments and provide customer support.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. account, billing, claim escalation) and, if you opt in, recovery digests.
- To improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
3. Sharing with service providers
We share personal data only with the processors necessary to operate the Service:
- Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes all payments, handles billing, tax, and refunds, and receives the personal data needed to complete each transaction (name, email, billing address, IP, payment method). See Paddle's privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage hosting.
- Lovable Cloud — application hosting and serverless functions.
- Email delivery providers used to send transactional messages.
- AI model providers used to power the AI Coach and Strength Map analysis, processing only the inputs required for the requested feature.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share individual user data with employers or any third party for advertising. Employers using outplacement seats receive only aggregate, anonymized outcome data unless you explicitly consent otherwise.
3a. AI features and your data
AI Coach messages and Strength Map analysis are sent to our AI providers (currently Google Gemini and OpenAI, via the Lovable AI Gateway) solely to generate the response you requested. We do not use your personal data to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI providers to use your inputs for model training. Coach messages are stored on your account so the assistant can keep context across sessions; you can delete this history at any time from the AI Coach screen or by deleting your account.
3b. Employer-sponsored seats
Some users access Pivot Companion through outplacement seats purchased by a former employer. Employers receive only seat-administration data(whether a redemption code has been used, the invitee email/name they supplied, and the redemption date). Employers never see your individual journal, mood, financial, application, claim, contact, AI Coach, or Strength Map data, and they cannot identify you within cohort-level outcome reporting (which is only published when at least ten users have reported a hire).
4. Legal basis
We process personal data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, on the basis of your consent (where required), and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.
5. Data retention
We retain account and recovery data for as long as your account is active. You can delete career evidence, journal entries, or your entire account at any time from Settings; deletion is processed promptly and removes the underlying records.
For details on what is deleted and what is retained when you delete your account, see Data Deletion.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at info@ozaspro.com to exercise these rights.
7. International transfers
Our processors may store and process personal data in the United States, the European Economic Area, and other jurisdictions. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.
8. Security
We protect personal data with industry-standard measures including row-level security, encryption in transit, signed authentication tokens, and least-privilege access to internal systems.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We will post any changes to this Notice on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
